What's in a Name?

DISCLAIMER-This is just for fun and implies no endorsement of, accuracy or safety for the site listed below-just fun. Also, I am not saying that there are no other "Darnita's" out there-I actually know of a few; I used my entire name for the search. I'd love to hear from you if your name is "Darnita" or you know someone with that name.

As a child, I hated my name. It was "too unique" and people always mispronounced it. I always found this strange since it had no unusual consonant combos or even a string of vowels to cause confusion. It's pronounced as spelled-D-A-R-N-I-T-A). To this day, I still have to correct people, especially those who for the life of me, can't see (or pronounce) the "R". I jokingly say that since my mother paid for the "R", it should be used!! As I grew older, I formed a greater appreciation for my unique identifier-my name. Just for fun, I checked this site, which I'm sure you've seen in some form or fashion, or received in an email.

I truly am unique and so is my name!! What about you?
